Application Process

To apply for the presidency of the North Carolina Community College System, individuals must submit a hard copy and an electronic copy of required application materials as follows:

A letter of application no longer than five pages outlining background, qualifications, and vision for the position as well as addressing the selection criteria detailed in the Presidential Profile; a complete curriculum vita/resume; and contact information for five professional references. The initial review and screening will be based on this information.
The hard-copy application is to be mailed to Dr. Bob Barringer, 64 Haywood Street, Asheville, NC 28801.

The electronic submission should be emailed to jpchesson@pineywoodsroad.com.

Additional information, including college transcripts, will be required later in the search process.

Applications will be held in confidence until the interview process begins. Candidates will be notified by the search consultants when reference checking and other inquiries will be made.

Applications received after September 14, 2007 are not guaranteed a review by the consultants and the Search Committee.
