State Board of Community Colleges Finance Committee to hold special meeting.

RALEIGH:  The full State Board of Community College will take a break and not meet in December, but the work continues for the Finance Committee.

The Finance Committee, chaired by James J. Woody, meets at 9:00 AM on Friday, December 15 in room 201-A of the Caswell Building at 200 West Jones Street.

The major agenda item for the committee is to discuss possible ranking criteria for the dissemination of money for the Higher Education Facility Bonds approved by the voters in November.

The committee hopes to make recommendations to the State Board at its January meeting.

The North Carolina Community College System, with 760,764 students, is the third largest community college system in the United States. The System is the state’s primary agency for delivery of job training, literacy and adult education programs.
