State Board of Community Colleges to set budget for System
RALEIGH
: Now that a budget bill has been enacted by the General Assembly and signed by Governor Easley, the task falls to the State Board of Community Colleges to provide budget guidelines and allocations for the North Carolina Community College System. That task is the primary item on the agenda for the meeting that will be held in the Caswell Building on Friday, July 18 at 9:00 AM.The Board will consider the recommendations of the Finance and Capital Needs Committee that will include not only guidelines for spending but also a proposal for holding back a percentage of the allocation to meet expected reversions later in the fiscal year.
The Board will also welcome the new student representative. Carol Davis is president of the North Carolina Comprehensive Community College Student Government Association. She is an Accounting major at Central Carolina Community College. Ms. Davis will take the oath of office along with the reappointed members of the Board.
