Last fall, the State Board of Community Colleges, working in association with leaders from the North Carolina Association of Community College Presidents and the North Carolina Association of Community College Trustees, endorsed a significant planning initiative to foster guiding goals that will positively impact student success. The goal of SuccessNC will be to facilitate the sharing of best practices, initiate statewide policies to foster student success while removing those that inhibit student success, and develop new performance-based student success measures between now and 2013, the year of our System’s 50th anniversary.
