How to use the spreadsheet when
updating the local begin date
A course's start date and the end date are local dates, which
mean that community colleges can enter their own dates here.
Colleges may use the start date field to indicate the term that
the college first begin offering this specific course version.
Likewise, the end date should reflect the last term that the
specific course version was taught at the college when that
course version is no longer being taught.
Option to match the System Office's (SO) start date. Community
colleges may opt to match their local begin date to the SO begin
date to keep confusion low. If so, just find the begin date on
this spreadsheet, then go into CRSE screen and change the begin
date.
Note: The SO begin date is a 6-digit date that corresponds to
the course's effective term:
Spring
= early January
Summer = mid May
Fall = mid August
