How does the "O" status benefit
the community colleges?
Obsolete courses are locked which means that sections cannot be built on
obsolete courses and obsolete courses can not be added to Colleague programs of
study. When the community college staff are faced with deciding which course
version to choose when building sections/programs of study, there will be fewer
courses with AB status, which should decrease the occurrence of the wrong course
version being chosen.
