At the State Board of Community Colleges meeting on Friday, August 15, three new members and one reelected member will be sworn in by a distinguished list of officials.

Bob Orr, Associate Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, will swear in Jim Daniels, a new member elected by the House of Representatives, at the special request of Mr. Daniels.

Senator Tony Rand will swear in Linwood Powell, who was elected by the Senate, at Powell's request.

Co-Speaker Richard Morgan will swear in the Honorable Estell Lee, also elected by the House of Representatives.

Senator A. B. Swindell will swear in Anne-Marie Knighton, who was reelected by the Senate.

The oaths will be administered at the start of the meeting, which begins at 9:00 a.m. in State Board Room of the Caswell Building.
