State Board of Community Colleges meets at Cape Fear Community College
WILMINGTON: The State Board of Community Colleges travels to Wilmington September 15-17 (Wednesday-Friday) for its annual retreat and regular monthly meeting.
Cape Fear Community College is host for the event. Retreat sessions will convene at 9 a.m. on the North Campus in Castle Hayne. Board members will hear presentations and participate in discussion about a current economic benefits study of the North Carolina Community College System; innovative approaches to meeting the teacher shortage; a new report on nursing education; and Cape Fear Community College’s model for responding to community needs.
Committees meet Thursday on the main campus in downtown Wilmington. Friday, the full State Board meeting begins at 9 a.m. on the North Campus.
