Making the decision to attend early college program at Southeastern Community College gave Austin Todd the best opportunity to achieve the long-term goals he had set for himself. Transferring to the main campus while still a junior in high school he began working on a two-year associates degree in Facilities Maintenance Technology, which he completed along with his high school diploma in May 2016.
Todd was offered an internship at Duke Energy's Naural Gas-Fired Plant in Wilmington, NC during his final semester at SCC. He returned to SCC in the Fall of 2016 to obtain his Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. He graduated May 2017 and plans to pursue full-time employment with Duke Energy. Todd credits his early college high school teachers and college instructors for helping him achieve all that he has.
