Rebecca Anderson

My name is Rebecca Anderson, and as a freshman and sophomore, I have attended Vance-Granville Community College. By the end of this spring semester I plan to have completed my Associate in Science Degree. I have been on the Dean's List both years that I have attended VGCC and have earned a 4.0 grade point average. I have worked diligently, and in return, Vance-Granville has provided me with an education that will prepare me for the rest of my life.

While at VGCC, I have played on the women's golf team and have won first place in the Hurricane Fusillade Championship during the 2013 golf season. I also participated in the Women's Golf Regional Championship, and did well enough to qualify for the NJCAA Golf Nationals. This was an honor, because I was the first women's golfer at VGCC to represent our school at a national level. I hope that this season I will be able to compete in the 2014 Nationals and represent VGCC again.

After earning my Associate in Science degree at VGCC, my goal is to earn a Bachelor's degree in Biology at NC State, and later a Master's degree in the same field.
