Sheree Peters

I have a thirst for knowledge and an innate love of learning. I am a voracious reader and have always dreamed of going to college. Due to family issues, my educational career came to an abrupt halt, and I was forced to stop attending school in the sixth grade. I was able to earn my GED when I was 25, but I was always afraid that I lacked the background needed to further my education.

With the encouragement and support of my family, I finally decided to pursue my dream of going to college. I enrolled in the 2012 Spring Semester at Tri-County Community College (TCCC).

My time in college has been very rewarding, and I have learned to never underestimate my own ability. Through every hurdle that life has thrown at me, the faculty and staff of TCCC have been there to show me warmth and support. With their help, I can proudly say that I am the first of my family's generation to earn a college degree.

I will graduate this spring with a degree in Business Administration, but my educational journey will not end there. I plan to continue and earn a Master's Degree in Business Administration.
