Amanda Hill
Amanda Hill is 28 years old, married, and a mother of two who is pursuing a career as a pharmacist. She plans to transfer to the University of North Carolina after Alamance.
“Alamance Community College is helping me transfer to the UNC School
of Pharmacy, “ says Hill. “ I've learned that pharmacy is not just counting pills and slapping labels on a bottle. Pharmacists are a last line of defense in our health care system.”
Hill says the college offers her exactly what she needs while working toward her degree. “ACC is so accessible. I can go to my teachers when I need them. They're always there for me, providing the intimate support I need. ACC gives me the same level of education as I'd get at a four-year institution–and I'm not sitting in an impersonal 200-seat auditorium. ACC is a high-level community college that prepares us for the rigors of a four-year institution.
