Kathy Adcox

Kathy Adcox When Nash Community College Registrar Kathy Adcox speaks to students, she speaks from experience.

"Not only did the community college system help me, but it helped my mother. While I was enrolled at NCC, I mentioned to a professor that my mother had never finished high school. She told me about the GED program and my mother enrolled. In 1988, I graduated with honors from the College Transfer program with an Associate in Arts degree and my mother graduated with her GED."

Kathy then transferred to Atlantic Christian College (now Barton College) and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education in 1991. Upon graduation, she began working at Nash Community College as a Transfer/Financial Aid Counselor in Student Support Services. She was quickly promoted to Financial Aid Officer in 1998 and then to Registrar in 2002.

“My success in life started the day I enrolled at Nash Community College and still continues on today,” she said.
