Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing and ability to complete a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution within 5 years.  Current, valid unrestricted North Carolina nursing license or a valid, current multi-state license from a Nurse Licensure Compact state to practice nursing in North Carolina (NC).  Two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse.

*NOTE: In accordance with NCBON Educational Rule 21 NCAC 36 .0318 FACULTY “prior to or within the first three years of employment, have education in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, appropriate to faculty assignment.”

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum qualifications with teaching experience preferably NC community college teaching experience.

Position Description

Full-time faculty are professional educators with the primary responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for all Robeson Community College students.  Faculty are responsible for but are not limited to planning, organizing, promoting, and teaching appropriate courses for Robeson Community College.  Faculty are expected to perform all instruction-related duties in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the College, the North Carolina Community College System, and with appropriate accrediting entities where applicable.  Faculty are also responsible for providing placement, advising, follow-up support services and performing other duties as assigned.
