Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have one of the following from a regionally accredited institution: A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, a Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credit hours of Mathematics courses, or a Bachelor’s degree along with Praxis Certification for Grades 9-12 in the subject area. A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual in English and Spanish are preferred.

If selected for employment, the applicant must submit to a criminal background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications

Position Description

Provide effective instruction in seated and hybrid developmental mathematics courses, using innovative instructional strategies and technology appropriate for the courses and learners. Implement evaluation methods that measure students’ attainment of competencies and review their performance with them. Maintain a safe and orderly instructional environment across all settings, including class, lab, shop, and clinical environments. Model professional behavior in the classroom, on campus, and within the community. Submit accurate and timely reports as required, and maintain academic, attendance, and student records. Participate in professional development activities such as conferences, workshops, training sessions, and independent study. Contribute to the achievement of the College’s Purpose and Goals. Report to the Academic Foundations Department Chair and perform other related duties as assigned.
