Position Description
The Adjunct Faculty, Electronics Engineering Technology provides designing and implementing learning strategies for students; developing course syllabi and instructional materials; maintaining instructional records; student recruitment, advisement and retention; developing and evaluating courses, programs and services; participating in College activities and committees; and other duties which support the mission and initiatives of the College. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean, School of Business, Engineering and Technical Studies.
The Faculty member has the following responsibilities:
The Faculty member has the following responsibilities:
- Promotes College mission, values, and vision
- Teaches assigned courses on the main campus and at satellite locations to meet program needs including, but not limited to, day, evening, weekend, and distance courses.
- Evaluates student progress and provides appropriate feedback
- Develops course syllabi and provides appropriate written information to students concerning course evaluation and criteria
- Explore, assess, and implement appropriate instructional technology to enhance student learning outcomes
- Carries out a program of self-evaluation to determine instructional effectiveness
- Assists in the evaluation of courses and programs
- Prepares and submits instructional records, reports, and grades established by institutional policy
- Engaging in activities that support advancement of identified academic priorities
- Attends appropriate College and School meetings
- Assists in student recruitment and retention
- Maintains appropriate office hours and accessibility for students, faculty and staff
- Participates in professional development to enhance instructional and technical skills
- Performs other tasks as assigned which support the mission and initiatives of the College
Your attributes:
Required:
- Associates Degree from regionally accredited institution in Electronics Engineering Technology or closely related field
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in an advanced manufacturing setting
- Creativity and openness to change
- Strong computer skills and commitment to the use of technology in instruction
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with others in a team environment

Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related field
- Teaching experience in a community college or post-secondary education setting
- Significant industry experience/training with PLC’s and robotics
- ISA certification in Automation
