  • Degree/certification in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agriculture, or closely related field.
  • Industry experience in horticulture, landscaping, greenhouse management, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize courses
  • Ability to work with a diverse population

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
  • Prior community college teaching experience

Position Description

Under the supervision of the Chair of Continuing Education and Technical Programs, the Horticulture Instructor is responsible for teaching plant science, sustainable landscaping, greenhouse management, and other key areas of horticulture. The instructor will provide quality instruction, foster a supportive and engaging learning environment, model professional and employability skills, and design and deliver lessons that reflect current industry standards.
