The Part-time Instructor is required to work as contracted per course, which may include day and/or evening responsibilities and duties. Work duties and responsibilities may be at the college’s main campus, branch campuses, or other locations as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an instructional discipline or related field is required. 

Work Experience:  One year of successful teaching experience in a community college or similar postsecondary institution, or evidence of other appropriate experience relevant to the position, is required. 

Candidates available to teach evening classes between 6:00 PM and 9:30 are preferred.

Do Great Things! Durham Technical Community College is hiring an adjunct instructor in the Adult Basic Education Program. The Reading/English/Mathematics Instructors are responsible for providing a quality learning environment to College and Career Readiness students. The faculty members provide instruction and complete other duties and responsibilities in accordance with the mission and policies of the college.
