Minimum Qualifications

  • Completion on a phlebotomy certificate program.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree
  • Two years of relevant industry experience with administrative and clinical procedures related to Phlebotomy
  • Experience with the assessment of student learning outcomes.
  • Experience in a community college setting.
  • Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems.
  • ASCP Certified Phlebotomy Technician.

Position Description

This is a part-time instructor position teaching Phlebotomy courses in the Workforce Development and Community Education division reporting to the Director, Health Occupations, and Nurse Aide Training.

Note: At this time, there is no specific need. This is for a pool of applicants as needs arise.

Job duties will include:
  1. Prepares course materials; uses appropriate teaching techniques including delivering lectures, leading discussions, and conducting laboratory demonstrations; and performs other activities, which are related to and meet the requirements of the courses.
  2. Conducts evaluations of student performance and assigns grades on the basis of such evaluations.
  3. Maintains records of student attendance and grades according to college policy and procedure.
  4. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required to meet course objectives.
