Minimum Qualifications

  • Completed master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours completed in sociology coursework.
  • Commitment to WCC as a learning-centered college through the College’s mission, vision, values, core skills and learning outcomes, and delivery of instruction and services.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience preferred in community college setting.

Position Description

Teach sociology courses per qualifications. 

Applicants must be available to teach seated and online classes at the Ashe and/or Wilkes (main) campuses.

Teach subject per qualifications. Teach online and seated SOC 210 (Introduction to Sociology) classes. Also, ability to teach SOC-213 (Sociology of the Family) and SOC-220 (Social Problems).
