- Additional certifications or credentials related to education, counseling, career coaching, or youth development can enhance qualifications for the role.
- Innovative Curriculum Design: Creating engaging and interactive learning materials to enhance student engagement and retention.
- Experience working with Title I students preferred.

This position coordinates approximately twenty adult basic education classes year-round that are inclusive of adults with learning differences, adults learning to read, build foundational reading, math, and digital and career skills. Will coordinate high school level preparation classes in language arts, math, science, and social studies to prepare for the official high school equivalency test (GED or HiSET) Will implement career preparation and transitional opportunities to curriculum, workforce development. This position will interview, hire, train, and manage instructors. Provide instructional leadership and provide resources and support services that address student barriers. Manage intern placement and supervision. Build strong working relationships internally and externally with community and business partners. Participate in recruiting and community events. Assist with grant writing and promotion of program areas. Serve on committees and other duties as assigned by the college.

- Teaching and or managing face to face and or online classes
- Evaluating and/or developing curriculum and implementing content standards
- Serving a diverse population and ensuring program is inclusive and provides equitable opportunities for historically marginalized populations
- Counseling students with barriers
- Managing grants and budgets
- Complying and enforcing state mandates and policies
- Use of Google Suite and various meeting and learning management systems such as Zoom, Teams, etc.
- Flexibility and willingness to work after hours and weekends as needed
