Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in an Allied Health related field from a regionally accredited institution is required. Two years of experience working with adults in education or similar environments is required. An unencumbered Register Nurse license in North Carolina is preferred. Two years of experience and at least one year of RN experience in the provision of long-term care facility services by: working in a long-term care facility licensed as a skilled nursing facility or a skilled nursing facility which is a distinct part of a hospital or supervising or teaching students in a long-term care facility licensed as a skilled nursing facility or a skilled nursing facility which is a distinct part of a hospital is preferred. Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends. A National Career Readiness Certificate and bilingual in English and Spanish are preferred.

Position Description
The Associate Dean of Career Programs assists with the development and administration of coursework and programs in the Allied Health Division for curriculum and Workforce Continuing Education, including instructional vision, leadership, management, and support for adjunct and curricula while supporting college goals and objectives. In collaboration with other divisional department chairs, the Associate Dean ensures availability and efficiency in scheduling curricular and programmatic initiatives. This position fosters a high-quality environment of academic teaching and intellectual achievement while creating partnerships within and outside of the College. Required teaching load is six to nine hours per semester. This position provides operational management of Allied Health and Occupational Extension programs and initiatives created division wide and reports to the divisional dean and Vice President of Workforce and Continuing Education.
