Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of related experience and progressive leadership experience in strategic planning, data management, and evaluation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience creating data-informed models to develop, communicate, monitor, and assess strategic priorities and actions
  • Success with cultivating partnerships at all leadership levels to collaboratively create comprehensive programs, communicate organizational progress, and lead institutional change
  • Experience in higher education accreditation reaffirmation
  • Record of success in strategic planning, guiding complex initiatives, and aligning departmental goals with institutional priorities
  • Expertise in data-informed decision-making and assessment, including evaluating programs and initiatives to improve institutional outcomes

Position Description

General Function

The incumbent in this job is expected to assist the College in achieving its vision and mission. Work collaboratively with planning, data and college-wide teams to execute, assess, and communicate effectiveness of strategies and programs; Ensures alignment of college operations with strategic goals and objectives. Customer focus, college service, and a willingness to assist as needed are expectations for all employees.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Researches local, state, and national trends and reports to inform and drive continued efforts and progress in advancing the strategic plan and student economic mobility
  2. Maintains accurate records and databases on college-wide committees, initiatives, and progress as they align with the strategic goals
  3. Supervises and participates in the development and administration of budgets. Monitors and approves expenditures as necessary.
  4. Cultivate internal and external stakeholder relationships to negotiate and influence, as well as manage and lead change to achieve strategic goals
  5. Leverage data from a variety of sources to evaluate effectiveness, communicate the impact, and identify opportunities for continued institutional improvement
  6. Supports the Vice President in continually aligning the strategic plan with student and community needs, data trends, and accreditation standards
  7. Utilizes, reports, and analyzes data to make recommendations in support of advancing the strategic plan
  8. Tracks and presents the key performance indicators and their progress to develop innovative programming and strategies
  9. Drives and supports a culture of ongoing assessment and continuous improvement that promotes an exceptional experience for students, faculty and staff
  1. Provides leadership, coordination, and guidance for a broad range of planning, research, evaluation, and assessment processes, supporting continuous improvement across the College’s instructional and administrative functions.
  2. Provides consultation to the President’s Cabinet regarding accreditation and works to familiarize faculty, staff, and the college community with accreditation requirements, standards, policies and procedures.
  3. Recommends development and modification of college-wide policies and procedures as they pertain principles of accreditation, state board code, and general statutes.
  4. Oversees the college’s comprehensive accreditation reaffirmation efforts.
  5. Provides oversight and supervision of data management and analysis for institutional research, effectiveness, assessment, evaluation strategies, and accreditation processes.
  6. Ensures meaningful, appropriate, actionable, and accurate data and supporting documentation are available to meet the decision-making needs of the College
  7. Compiles, analyzes, disseminates and presents quantitative and qualitative data on the college and related educational issues, including such areas as institutional characteristics, enrollments, student retention, student transfer, enrollment, grades and other student performance indicators as requested.
  8. Anticipates and creates data for institutional planning for budgeting, faculty productivity, regional demographics, strategic planning and initiatives, and other institutional needs.
  9. Provides oversight and supervision regarding development, implementation, monitoring, and revision of internal student data dashboards.
  10. Provides oversight, development, and campus-wide training in the areas of Data Literacy, Data Analytics, and Data Visualization. Responsible for identifying data, technical support, and professional development needs and coordinate appropriate support and training to improve access to data across the College.
