Child Care Center Assistant Teacher

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred, or current enrollment in an Early Childhood Associate Degree program.
• Current ITS-SIDS certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must meet North Carolina pre-service and in-service training requirements.

• North Carolina Early Childhood Credential preferred, or successful completion of EDU 119: Introduction to Early Childhood Education required within 12 months of hire.
• Experience working with children ages 0–5 preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred or must obtain within the first six weeks of employment.

This position supports the Lead Teacher in providing high-quality early childhood education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. The Assistant Teacher helps create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where each child can thrive and develop to their fullest potential.
