Minimum Qualifications
- An associate degree in Early Childhood Education and possession of the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential.
Preferred Qualifications
- A minimum of three years of experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting is preferred.
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, ITS-SIDS, and a Career Readiness Certificate are also preferred.
Position Description
The primary purpose of this position is to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth of children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. The Lead Teacher creates and maintains a safe, healthy, and engaging learning environment; ensures compliance with all North Carolina Child Care regulations; communicates effectively with parents and the Center Director; and participates in required pre-service and in-service training to support high-quality early childhood education.
