Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree preferred. Two years related work experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully work with the adult learner. Computer experience required with a familiarity with MS Office Suite of products. Must have experience in mentoring, evaluating, and coordinating student educational plans.

Position Description
General Description: The College and Career Coordinator, under the direction of the Dean of Adult Education and the authority of the Vice President for Instruction is responsible for Overseeing the planning, implementation, and compliance of CCR classes in Scotland and Richmond Counties, may include Adult Basic Education, High School Equivalency, English as a Second Language, and Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs. Requires visits to both campus, community, and corrections-based classes.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
- Assist with recruitment, intake, and promotion of classes within communities. Build partnerships and relationships to increase opportunity for students.
- Plan, schedule and create classes in ADVANSYS for classes.
- Generate contracts and revisions, complete monthly payroll processes, faculty observations, class visitations, class close-outs, end of semester paperwork, and other required paperwork ensuring accuracy, data integrity and timely submission.
- Maintain, train, coordinate, supervise, and assist faculty/staff in the provision of quality instruction in compliance with NCCCS CCR and RichmondCC policies and procedures.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of WIOA Title II programming, NRS requirements, and high school equivalency policies.
- Design specialized and required courses including Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education (IELCE) and Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs.
- Monitor and implement retention efforts of students and post testing to ensure compliance with NRS testing, conducting NRS testing as needed.
- Conduct personnel evaluations as required by the College. Assist in facilitating professional development, creation of goals, and monitor program performance, effectiveness, and feasibility.
- Advise students with information regarding goals, RCC programs, student services, and courses available and assist with post-secondary enrollment. Assist with connecting students with resources to overcome barriers to help increase retention and completion.
- Maintain presence between campuses to support students and instructors, attend meetings, and assist with behavior management as needed to ensure a quality classroom learning environment.
- Monitor student attendance, work with team to initiate retention and outreach efforts to ensure sufficient enrollment and attendance for the sustainability of classes.
- Review class timesheets and attendance entries, complete weekly attendance approvals.
- Work with marketing staff to recruit new students, prepare marketing materials and literature, and attend community events building relationships with local partners.
- Review needs for equipment, supplies, and instructional materials and make recommendations for purchase.
- Complete relevant professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication skills, respond to emails and inquiries within 24 hours; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to demonstrate good judgment. Must be able to meet and deal effectively with staff, instructors, and the general public. Demonstrate empathy and understanding for the adult learner and demonstrate an understanding of students’ special needs and challenges. Detailed record keeping experience preferred and the ability to organize data and develop documents.
