Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Three years of experience with career development, workforce development, counseling, human resource development, or other relevant career development responsibilities.

Position Description

Essential Duties—Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a smooth and effective internship program.
  • Coordinate with CCN staff and leadership to establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, businesses,
  • CCN member schools, and organizations that support the growth and success of the Cybersecurity Internship Partnership Program.
  • Promote internship opportunities to students, recent graduates, faculty and staff across member schools of the Carolina Cyber Network through various channels including information sessions, newsletters, convenings, college job boards and social media.
  • Serve as a liaison between the intern, home college, and the Cybersecurity Internship Partnership Program.
  • Conduct information sessions for interested students and recent graduates to explain the application process, requirements, and benefits.
  • Ensure internship job descriptions and offer letters clearly outline responsibilities, required skills, and learning outcomes.
  • Work with employers and CCN members to extend internship offers to successful candidates.
  • Assist students and recent graduates in accepting or declining offers and finalizing their internship placements.
  • Collaborate with employers to develop onboarding materials and training programs for interns.
  • Conduct check-ins with interns, CCN Faculty Intern Supervisor, and employers throughout the internship period to monitor progress and address any issues.
  • Collect feedback from interns, CCN Faculty Intern Supervisor, and employers to continually improve the internship program.
  • Conduct exit interviews with interns, CCN Faculty Intern Supervisor, and employers to assess the overall internship experience.
  • Collect data on internship outcomes such as job offers, skill development, and satisfaction levels.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to the internship program.
  • Attend and staff the CCN Spring and Fall Convenings.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively coordinate logistics among colleges, employers, and interns.
