Position Description

Basic Purpose of Position:

Under the supervision of the Vice President for Workforce Development and Continuing Education, the Coordinator for Graham County Operations will be responsible for the management of the Tri-County Community College (TCCC) – Graham County Center.  This position will work collaboratively with TCCC faculty and staff members on the administration of academic programs, student services and community outreach initiatives for the Graham County Center (GCC).  Their work will ensure that the Graham County Center meets the needs of students, faculty and the local community.

 

Job Description/Duties: 

  • Coordinate with TCCC administrative staff to develop and implement goals for the GCC that ensure continuous improvement and growth.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations for the GCC including staff and facilities management.
  • Assist GCC students on various issues including application and registration processes, transcript requests, assistance with applications for federal aid, payment collections, etc.
  • Assist instructors teaching at the GCC with various needs including obtaining manuals, books, and other pertinent instructional materials and room setup.
  • Work collaboratively with various TCCC departments such as the Business Office, Financial Aid Department, Registrar’s Office, and online TCCC Bookstore to ensure that students’ needs are met.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the GCC and the local community, fostering partnerships with businesses, government agencies and other local educational institutions.
  • Assist with the promotion of upcoming classes for the GCC.
  • Identify and secure funding opportunities including grants and donations to support the initiatives for the GCC.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP for Workforce Development and Continuing Education and/or the President.
