Minimum Qualifications

 

 

 Education & Experience

  1. Master’s Degree in guidance and counseling, student personnel, or education
  2. Two to three years in student advising, counseling, or a closely related field

 

 

Knowledge, specialized skills, and abilities

  1. Ability to make sound decisions based on data, policies, and human relations
  2. Ability to supervise and manage programs for students
  3. Ability to manage, evaluate, and supervise personnel
  4. Ability to understand and cope with various behavioral patterns
  5. Ability to relate to people from differing economic, social, and educational backgrounds

SUPERVISION PROVIDED: The Coordinator of K-12 Partnerships provides supervision for all college liaisons.

Position Description

Under the supervision of the Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Management, the Coordinator will facilitate and lead activities related to Career and College Promise and Early College High Schools (K-12 Partnerships) for public, charter, private and homeschool students seeking education through HCC. The Coordinator will supervise and coordinate activities including professional learning and development for college liaisons and serve as a primary point of contact for CCP and Early College programs. The position will coordinate and lead outreach efforts to effectively growth participation in CCP and support the growth of early college high schools in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. 

 

 

Essential Functions:

Administrative Duties

  1. Facilitate and support the development and elevation of relationships with all K-12 partners in the service areas, including traditional public schools, early colleges, private schools, charter schools, and homeschool groups.
  2. Foster an environment of student success, accountability, and collaboration among staff in the K-12 Partnership department.
  3. Responsible for ensuring that the NCCS CCP Operating Procedures are followed by internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Ensure that K-12 Partnership programs are compliant with local and state regulations.
  5. Collaborate with the Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Management in strategic planning and goal setting for K-12 partnerships, ensuring alignment with the College’s overall enrollment growth 
  6. Foster enrollment growth with CCP programs through innovative practices and strategies.
  7. Create reports and analyze data to ensure student success outcomes are high.   
  8. Communicate and coordinate CCP program activities and updates to campus and external stakeholders.
  9. Manage, direct, and coordinate the day-to-day workflow of all college liaisons.
  10. Evaluate direct reports following established evaluation processes and procedures.
  11. Coordinate and prepare curriculum semester schedules for CCP courses with input from program chairs, academic deans, dean of admissions and enrollment, and K-12 partners.
  12. Advise public school, homeschool, and private school students.
  13. Serve on various committees as assigned.
  14. Participate in local, state and appropriate national level professional learning and development.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisors.

 

Professional Development

  1. Must receive required hours of professional development as indicated in the HCC Personnel Manual.
  2. Must complete Enrollment Management related training workshops annually.
