Minimum Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Criminal Justice
· Minimum of 5 years working in a Criminal Justice Field.
· Minimum of 3 years training in a public safety field or teaching experience at the community college or university level.
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
· Working knowledge/utilization of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications
· Possess knowledge in teaching and learning principles for adult education, which may include curriculum development, curriculum implementation, and student assessment and evaluation, appropriate to the faculty role.
· Evidence of effective problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
· Working knowledge/utilization of online learning platforms such as Canvas and Microsoft Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Criminal Justice with 18 graduate hours in Public Administration or Forensic Science to teach in multiple programs within the Department
· Knowledge and/or experience with learning outcomes assessment
· Demonstrated innovation within the field of education and/or technology
· Evidence of a career that includes a strong work ethic with a proven track record of project completion, multi-tasking, and the ability to handle time-sensitive environments.
· Experience in a regional accreditation process, such as SACSCOC.
· Experience with goal setting and strategic planning.

The Criminal Justice Technology faculty is a full-time, 9-month position located primarily on the OCH Campus in Monroe, NC. This role will serve the program and students in both Union and Anson County. Under the direction of the Director of Public Safety Curriculum Programs, the Criminal Justice Technology faculty provides quality learning opportunities that assist students in meeting their educational goals and career aspirations in the Associate in Applied Science program. This individual promotes SPCC’s mission by providing effective individual teaching and learning, curriculum development, advising, professional development, institutional service, and community relations. The Faculty in Criminal Justice Technology will teach a minimum of 21 contact hours each term or 42 total contact hours fall and spring terms.
