Position Description

In support of Isothermal Community College, the Data Entry and Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of student records and reporting for Student Affairs. This position is essential to the support of Student Affairs’ processes and the entry, management, and modification of student data in various databases and systems.

Data Entry and Management
  1. Efficiently and accurately access, enter, and modify student and division records in applicable data management systems (physical and digital files). 
  2. Assist staff within the Student Affairs division by processing common forms and communicating outcomes to appropriate stakeholders. 
  3. Assist the division by preparing and generating communications, documents, reports, and presentations.
Data Integrity and Confidentiality
  1. Manage student records, including personal and academic information, with professionalism and attention to detail. 
  2. Assist with internal audit processes to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  3. Handle data and records with confidentiality by adhering to governing regulations, institutional policies, and practices.
Administrative Support
  1. Assist with processing correspondence, including but not limited to division emails, telephone calls, text messages, and, when appropriate, in-person communications.
  2. Handle general inquiries and provide information to students, colleagues, and the community.
  3. Through excellent communication skills, provide accurate information to the college community using multiple modes of communication.
 
Other Duties

1.      Provide office coverage as needed, including some evening hours.
2.      Attend and meaningfully contribute to staff and college-wide meetings.
3.      Serve on Student Affairs and College working groups and/or committees as appropriate.
4.      Engage in conferences, workshops, and professional development trainings as needed and/or beneficial.
5.      Review daily practices to maximize service excellence, effectiveness, and efficiency as part of a commitment to continuous improvement. 
6.      Perform other duties as required and such tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
