The Digital Literacy Instructor is a part-time position that may be located at either Brown Creek Correctional Institution or Anson Correctional Institution in Polkton, NC with primary teaching responsibilities at Brown Creek from 4:30-7:30pm on Mondays & Wednesdays. Under the direction of the Digital Literacy Coordinator, the Digital Literacy Instructor provides educational opportunities to prepare adults learners with the technology skills necessary for the transition to post-secondary education opportunities and/or entry-level employment.

| Job Duties |
· Plan and facilitate digital literacy lessons using the NC Adult Education Content Standards with a focus on increasing students’ technology skills
· Communicate material in a positive and appropriate learning environment
· Provide direct instruction, small group, and individualized educational activities for students
· Use technology to support instruction
· Maintain required paperwork including, but not limited to, roster, attendance documents, lesson plans and time sheets
· Adhere to correctional institution policies and procedures
· Participate in professional development and training opportunities, as appropriate
· Communicate with Digital Literacy Coordinator and other College and Career Readiness staff, as appropriate
