Minimum Qualifications
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Higher Education Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field
Experience Required
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible professional experience in employee relations, human resources, labor relations, organizational development, or a closely related field.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Experience interpreting and applying employment laws, policies, procedures, and regulations
- Experience advising managers and employees on performance management, conflict resolution, and workplace conduct matters.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and manage sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Education Preferred
- PHR /SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources)/SHRM certification is a plus but not required.
Experience Preferred
- Prefer experience in higher education, including employee relations experience involving academic faculty.

Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Director of Employee Relations is the College’s primary advisor on employee relations and workplace culture. This strategic leader partners with managers and employees to foster a respectful, inclusive, and high-performing work environment through employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, workplace investigations, policy guidance, and leadership coaching. As a member of the HR Leadership Team, the Director advances employee engagement, supports organizational effectiveness, and ensures fair, consistent, and compliant employment practices.
