Position Description
Basic Purpose of the Position:
This position serves a vital role as the key point of contact for prospective, new and existing students, faculty, staff and the community. The Enrollment Management Specialist works closely with all Student Services staff members and must maintain a friendly and professional demeanor. The position serves as primary support and back-up for the Coordinator of Enrollment Management and reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Student Services.
- Greet all students, faculty, staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the Harper Help Desk.
- Manage incoming phone calls to the Harper Help Desk and ensure transfers and messages to appropriate College personnel are handled in a timely manner.
- Check admissions e-mail inbox daily and respond swiftly to student inquiries.
- Maintain all equipment at the Help Desk and ensure that all supplies are stocked.
- Provide assistance to the Enrollment Management Coordinator in processing of new applications, sending acceptance letters and e-mails in a timely and professional manner and following up with students who have not completed the admissions process.
- Accurately process data entries and corrections across student information systems, RDS, FASFA resources and transcript systems.
- Work with other staff in the Student Services area in applying standard procedures for the accurate collection, recording and reporting of all enrollment data, as required.
- Review available academic programs with students and counsel them on applicable admission requirements.
- Assist the Enrollment Management Coordinator in maintaining current and inactive student files.
- Understand and follow all procedures related to student records maintenance, storage and security. Ensure that all admission paperwork is properly completed and filed appropriately.
- Maintain a knowledge of TCCC resources and make regular referrals to other services needed by students and the general community.
- Maintain current College announcements and important admissions information in the lobby display cabinet.
- Provide assistance in the Testing Center with proctored testing and creation of student ID’s, as needed.
- Collaborate with other Student Services staff members with duties related to the annual “College Day” for local high schools.
- Participate with graduation preparation and services held on campus annually.
- Clearly articulate the mission and values of the College and promote student-learning opportunities.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by the supervisor, Vice President or President of the College.
