FT - Technician, Facility Services

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and crouch.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Possession of a valid NC driver’s license
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a NC pesticide license.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule for College events and times of inclement weather.

• Performs grounds maintenance duties, including mowing, weeding, trimming shrubs and hedges, raking leaves, and mulching flower beds.
• Operates lawn mowers, tractors, weed eaters, small equipment, etc.
• Applies pesticides and herbicides appropriately.
• Replaces air filters and light bulbs.
• Clears drains and misc. plumbing repairs.
• Cleans gutters and downspouts.
• Removes litter from college grounds and athletic fields.
• Assists with the removal of storm debris, snow, and ice.
• Assembles and moves office furniture and equipment.
• Delivers items to various college departments.
• Assist with plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and HVAC tasks. 
• Follow all SCC and OSHA guidelines related to safety and the reporting of accidents and injuries.
