Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and valid drivers’ license, required. Must posses a CPR/First Responder Certification or be willing to obtain within three (3) months. 2 years of experience in security or law enforcement is preferred, but not required.

Preferred Qualifications
Position Description
Provide for the safety of all individuals frequenting Coastal Carolina Community College, maintaining security and fire protection for facilities and capital equipment assets on campus, and preparing security related reports.
Demonstrate, through verbal interaction and behavior on the job, an understanding that it is the individual employee’s responsibility to relate effectively to the leadership and administrative style of the immediate supervisor. Supervise all security personnel and assign duty watches. Assume all duties and responsibilities of a security officer. Ensure that safety and security procedures, as indicated in the Full-time Faculty and Staff Handbook, are up-to-date and executed when a situation arises. Assist in emergencies as needed. Coordinate security’s role in college-related functions. Relate well to students, co-workers, and the general public. Perform other duties as assigned.
Standard Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., or as needed.
Salary: $3,400.00 per month.
Start Date: July 1, 2026.
