Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field; industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA); Cisco Certified Instructor; CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
Experience: 2 years of relevant teaching and/or work experience leading to this level of responsibility
Knowledge and Skills: Demonstration of skills in the areas of: networking, computer repair; virtualization, operating systems, security, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), communication, organization, and managing multiple priorities; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, community groups, and others; and demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment. Preferred: online teaching experience. Experience using LMS such as Moodle or Blackboard.

Position Description
Carteret Community College (Morehead City, NC) is accepting applications for a full-time Information Technology Instructor (12-month position). Benefits include paid sick leave and paid holidays, low-cost benefits including health, vision, dental, and life insurance, and pension (requires 6% employee contribution).

The Information Technology Instructor will guide in-person (on campus) and remote students in developing the skills necessary for careers in technology and business. Through coursework and hands-on learning, students will build competencies in system administration, network systems, programming, cybersecurity, interactive media, and emerging technologies.
