Minimum Qualifications
A Master of Library Science degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent with two years of professional library experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Experienced in coordinating with librarians and faculty to successfully implement current, research-based, information literacy instruction in the classroom, and provides leadership for the planning, programming, delivery, evaluation, and assessment of the library’s instruction program.

Position Description
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Serve as person in charge (PIC) of the library in absence of the Assistant Library Director and the Dean of Library and Student Learning Services
- Oversee archive collection and services both onsite and online
- Refine, implement, and uphold archival policies and procedures with regard to processing, documenting, digitizing, preserving and accessing archival collections
- Create finding aids for the archive collection to make it accessible to the campus community and the public. Post these on the archive website.
- Creates digital collections in the college’s institutional repository, physically and digitally
- Classify and catalog print and nonprint archive materials using standard reference tools
- Update, maintain, and provide access to the college’s archival catalogs
- Work assigned public service desks to include circulation, reference, Makerspace Lab and Archives
- Perform professional library tasks in assigned service/program area including reference, circulation, cataloging, and collection development.
- Provide library service instruction to students, faculty, and staff.
- Assist students, faculty, and staff in the use of various reference sources, library resources, and research methodologies and inter-library loan services.
- Conduct library tours; advise and assist library patrons in the use of library catalogs and other reference tools.
- Prepare curriculum-oriented bibliographic guides to the library’s collections; supervise and direct their production and distribution to users.
- Consult with the teaching faculty regarding needed materials for classes and assignments.
- Classify and catalog print and non-print materials using standard reference tools.
- Maintain and provide access to the College’s archival catalogs.
- Plan and implement procedures related to digital assets, metadata schema, workflows, and quality control of physical and digital materials in the college archive.
- Review new publications and collection materials and make recommendations on materials for acquisition and/or disposition, including books, publications, reference materials, and related materials.
- Assist in the development and implementation of special programs and services.
- Compile library activity reports and statistics for assigned area of responsibility.
- Direct and review the work of assigned technical and clerical library staff.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
