Essential Duties—Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the initiatives within the Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP).
- Use data and feedback to adjust approaches and improve program effectiveness.
- Assist in the design and evaluation of recovery-related programs that support students’ well-being and success.
- Ensure all initiatives and programming are positive, developmentally appropriate, empowering, and inclusive of a diverse community.
- Respond to recovery support inquiries and provide guidance to students seeking help.
- Provide direct support to students in recovery or considering recovery through the role of educator, group facilitator, coach, and mentor.
- Serve as a community resource for substance use disorder and recovery topics and provide referrals to both on- and off-campus resources.
- Work directly with communications and marketing professionals to assist in creation and dissemination of marketing and other publication materials to promote, strengthen, and grow the CRP.
- Lead efforts to raise awareness across the FTCC community about recovery, substance use disorders, and the challenges faced by individuals in recovery.
- Organize workshops, presentations, and events that educate students, faculty, and staff on recovery, mental health, and substance use, while promoting empathy, understanding, and support.
- Promote the concept of a Recovery-Ready campus, emphasizing the importance of creating an environment where individuals feel safe to seek help and are supported throughout their recovery process.
- Build and maintain a supportive, inclusive community for students in recovery, creating opportunities for connection, group support, and shared experiences.
- Coordinate and facilitate recovery-related activities, events, and peer support groups that foster a sense of belonging and encouragement.
- Encourage a culture of mutual respect and empowerment, where recovery is celebrated, and students are encouraged to share their success stores and challenges.
- Connect students in recovery with appropriate on-campus and community resources, including academic support, mental health services, and recovery programs.
- Assist in the development of resource materials and recovery-related programs that support the well-being and success of students in recovery.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Collegiate Recovery Program, ensuring that it aligns with the needs of students and contributes to their success.
- Track and report on program participation, student engagement, and outcomes related to recovery, academic performance, and overall student satisfaction.
- Provide regular feedback and updates to the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services on program progress, challenges, and successes.
- Maintain relationships between the CRP and the greater Fayetteville community, along with state level resources such as Addiction Professionals of NC and national organizations such as HECAOD, ARHE, and SAFE.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
