Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree; proven competency with computer applications including Microsoft Office; effective oral and written communication skills; and ability to work productively independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an occupational extension or lifelong learning capacity at a community college.
Position Description
Job Summary
Assist the Program Administrator with the design, implementation, and administration of occupational extension and lifelong learning classes. Assist in identifying adjunct faculty, advertising classes, and attending events to publicize continuing education offerings.
Collect all information needed for production of the FYI publication.
Assist with creating class documentation for occupational extension and lifelong learning classes, including contracts, attendance sheets, audit sheets, and evaluation sheets.
Audit completed class paperwork before turning it in to the Continuing Education Registrar.
Assist in locating adjunct instructors for Occupational Extension and Lifelong Learning classes.
Act as a contact person for continuing education classes and register students for classes.
Assist with course preparations by planning, preparing needed materials, registering attendees, and collecting evaluations.
Assist in coordinating ECC summer camps through Lifelong Learning.
Process registration for courses as requested by the Continuing Education Registrar.
Meet with instructors and initiate required first-class paperwork protocols for new classes.
Supervise work-study students when needed.
Assist in planning special events dealing with department needs.
Assist with incoming calls for pre-registration.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
