Minimum Qualifications
· Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a completed Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
· Working knowledge/utilization of Microsoft Office products
· Familiarity with a learning management system such as Canvas
Preferred Qualifications
· Academic teaching experience, preferably in higher education
· Demonstrated innovation within the field of education

The Sociology Faculty is a full-time, 9-month position located primarily on the Old Charlotte Highway (OCH) Campus in Monroe, NC with a start date for Fall 2026. The interview process is expected to occur in March/April. To ensure consideration, please apply by March 15.
Under the direction of the Department Chair for Business, Education, and Social Sciences. This individual has responsibility for teaching and learning, curriculum development, assessment, continuous improvement, advising, professional development, institutional service, and community relations.
