Minimum Qualifications
Degree Requirements:
Master’s degree in Sociology or closely-related field required. If master’s is in a closely-related field, the applicant must have at least 18 graduate hours in Sociology. Course work in adolescent learning, adult learning, educational leadership, and educational technology are all highly desirable.
Experience:
Experience teaching college-level Sociology is required. Experience with using instructional technology is required. Experience teaching in both high school and college environments is a plus. Willingness to teach in both high school and college environments is a requirement.

Position Description
Full-time College Sociology instructor with teaching duties in General Education College Transfer courses. Responsibilities include active participation in departmental work on curriculum design, assessment, and pedagogy. This position is for a 9-month period. Teaching assignments may be for day and/or evening hours. Courses may be seated, synchronous, asynchronous, or hybrid. Must be willing to travel and teach at off-campus locations including local area high schools. Perform other duties as assigned.
