Minimum Qualifications
Education Required
- High school diploma or GED Certificate.
- Successful completion of a nationally recognized locksmith certification or a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Possession of an NC Locksmith License or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of employment.
Experience Required
- 5 years of experience in the installation and repair of doors, door frames, door hardware, door closers, handicap door openers, and their associated electronics.
- 5 years of experience in the installation and repair of mechanical and electronic locks.
- Experience in at least 5 disciplines, including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, masonry, light construction, roofing, painting, machining, welding, and other general maintenance activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Education Preferred
- Completion of an associate degree in electronics
Experience Preferred
- Previous unsupervised experience in a post-secondary school environment.
