Minimum Qualifications
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong analytical component with emphasis in computer science, information systems, statistics, STEM, computer programming, or a related field from a institutionally accredited College or University.
Experience Required
- Three years of directly related professional experience in information processing, reporting, developing analysis plans, statistically analyzing data and communicating data results successfully.
- One year of experience in a research-based position at a post-secondary institution
- Experience with SharePoint, creating data visualizations, dashboards, portals, etc.
- Experience with Ellucian Colleague, or similar ERP system
- Experience using a statistical software program such as SAS, Stata, SPSS, R.
- Experience with MS Office Excel, Word and Power Point
Preferred Qualifications
Education Preferred
- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, statistics, STEM, computer programming, educational research, assessment, or a related field from a institutionally accredited College or University.
Experience Preferred
- More than three years of directly related professional experience in designing research, developing analysis plans, statistically analyzing data and communicating data results successfully
- Greater than 1 year of experience in a research-based position at a post-secondary education institution.
- Experience in an Institutional Research office.
- Experience with Entrinsik Informer or similar business intelligence and ERP systems.
- Experience reviewing data according to reporting requirements and policies.

The QEP Research Specialist is primarily responsible for the development, implementation, and on going assessment of the Quality Enhancement Plan for the College. This position is responsible for analyzing data, tracking progress, creating reports and dashboards for the College, and contributing to the QEP reports to SACSCOC. This position is also responsible for ensuring the student attendance reported by faculty are in compliance with the College’s Attendance and Administrative Withdrawal Policy and that a student’s last date of attendance is reported within federal Return to Title IV standards.
