Minimum Qualifications
Education Required

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
OR
- Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution and three years of Employee Relations experience
OR
- 2 years of College and 6 years of HR experience
Experience Required
- Three years of Employee Relations professional experience
- Experience in employee relations, unemployment claims administration, or performance management
- Experience working with HRIS Systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience Preferred
- Experience in higher education or public sector HR
- Experience with Ellucian Colleague and/or PeopleAdmin
- Experience managing unemployment hearings or agency correspondence
- Experience administering performance management systems
- Experience working in HR for local, state or federal government

The Senior Human Resources Specialist (Employee Relations & Staffing) provides professional-level HR support in the areas of staffing operations, employee relations administration, compliance tracking, and performance management. This position works collaboratively with the Director of Staffing & HR Operations and supports the Director of Employee Relations in administering unemployment claims, managing employee performance appraisal processes, maintaining compliance documentation, and assisting with employee relations matters.
The position ensures efficient HR operations while promoting consistency, compliance, confidentiality, and a positive employee experience across the College.
