Minimum Qualifications

· Associate’s degree in office administration or a related field
· Minimum of 3 years of office-related administrative experience or related customer service experience
· Demonstrated strong attention to detail
· Effective oral and written communication skills
· Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software applications)

· Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate for the position
· Evidence of being detail-oriented and ability to multi-task

Job Description

We are seeking a Student Services Administrative Assistant for a full-time role that provides administrative support, customer service, and assistance for the Student Services Division. This position will be located onsite and primarily at the Old Charlotte Highway Campus in Monroe, but with expected travel to our campuses within Union and Anson counties. The primary schedule for this position will be 40 hours per week Monday-Friday with flexibility needed to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Job Duties
· Provide administrative support, excellent customer service, and assistance to internal and external customers through walk-in, telephone, and email correspondents for the Student Services Division.
· Support Student Services Division by conducting research, handling information requests, and performing administrative support such as preparing reports, correspondence, letters, documents, and spreadsheets receiving visitors, and scheduling meetings, as needed.
· Assist students with resolving issues that may require communication with multiple offices within the Student Services division or the college.
· Receives, monitors, processes requisitions and travel requests, tracks, records, reconciles, and report submissions in accordance with federal, state, and local funding rules and regulations.
· Provide backup support and coverage assistance to Directors/Staff within Students Services when needed, including, but not limited to Success Navigators, Records, Admissions/Testing, and Financial Aid. This may include greeting visitors as they enter, answering the main campus line, issuing IDs, and responding to inquiries about the college.
· Be actively involved in the Student Conduct process, ensuring accurate documentation and coordination of all cases. Responsibilities include managing case files, maintaining detailed records, facilitating communication between parties, serving as the recorder for hearings, and ensuring that all procedures are followed in accordance with institutional policies.
· Participate in institutional, advisory, and program/instruction committee meetings, engage in campus activities, and represent the college at community events.
· Continue professional development for the improvement of self and the department to meet the needs of a learning-centered college.
· Serves as student accident insurance contact to work with students after accident has occurred. Additionally provides students and programs with information concerning restrictions or requirements of accident insurance.
· Ensure the confidentiality of all student records and maintain full compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This includes safeguarding sensitive information, handling records with discretion, and following all legal and institutional guidelines for the access, storage, and sharing of student data.
· Perform other duties as assigned
