North Carolina has a rich, supportive environment for advanced manufacturing. An important element of that environment is the highly-trained, highly-skilled workforce produced statewide by our "Great 58" community colleges. This overview, based in the Piedmont Triad region, takes a brief look at the success of companies in fields as diverse as recycled-fiber production, off-site construction, and plastic injection molding.
