RALEIGH – The State Board of Community Colleges will meet April 4 at 10 a.m. at the Sheraton Raleigh Hotel, 421 S. Salisbury St.
The meeting will take place in Hanover II. It is open to the public, but some portions may be conducted in closed session, pursuant to state law.
The board usually meets on the third Friday of the month, but chose the earlier date for April so that the meeting would coincide with the NC Association of Community College Trustees’ Law and Legislative Seminar.
The board’s agenda and related materials are available at https://www.nccommunitycolleges.edu/state-board-community-colleges/meetings/april-04-2019.
System Advisory Council will meet, too
The NC Community College System Advisory Council will meet at 2:15 p.m. at the Sheraton.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place in the Capital Room.
The State Board of Community Colleges created the System Advisory Council to make recommendations on issues of systemwide or inter-college importance. The council consists of 14 members, including State Board members, community college trustees and presidents, and a student. The president of the NC Community College System serves as a non-voting member, except in the case of a tie.
