Becky Leon
Ever since I was a little girl, my dream was to become a doctor. I did not know what kind of doctor I wanted to be. All I knew was that I wanted to help someone and maybe even save a life or two, or three, or even a hundred. At such a young age, I did not realize that fulfilling this life-long dream would require so much time, effort, planning, and cost. This is why when I learned of a faster, better, and more economical way to pursue my dream, I snatched it up. Lenoir County Early College High School was an opportunity for me to finish high school, and at the same time, get a two-year degree free of charge.
Lenoir Community College isn’t a college that just says they are devoted to student success. It is a college that expresses this devotion through the actions of the caring and supportive faculty and staff. There is no need for the staff of LCC to say they care to each student, because it is shown through their teaching, dedication, and encouragement. It is because of the supportive environment here at Lenoir Community College that I enjoy working hard and having academic success. Time is precious so doing your best will not only matter today, but it will also matter tomorrow.
