Choosing a college can be one of the toughest decisions a high school senior has to make, and that certainly was the case for me. But after many long nights of trying to figure out where I wanted to go to school, I ended up choosing Pitt Community College—and it has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I knew coming into college that it was going to be a challenge for me to balance my time between being a student, a student ambassador and member of the PCC Bulldogs intercollegiate baseball team. The wonderful faculty and staff at Pitt helped me make a successful transition into higher education and have also helped me mature personally in many ways.

In addition to the knowledge I have gained in the classroom at PCC, I have developed better social skills while learning firsthand the value of teamwork and service to others – lessons I am positive will help me become successful in my future business career and in life.

I know that when I receive my associate degree in May 2013 and move on to a four-year university to continue my education, I will be more-than-prepared for that next step as a result of my time spent at Pitt Community College.
